Catdoku

People who like the mental task of Sudoku and the need to think carefully about what to do in Minesweeper will enjoy Catdoku. You need to arrange the pretty cats on a grid so that each one has its own place.

Gameplay

There are rules for Catdoku that come from both Sudoku and Minesweeper. However, instead of numbers, there are cute cat pictures. The goal of a 6x6 game board is to fit six cats into empty cells while following four strict rules:
Rows: Every row has one cat.
Each column has one cat.
Colour Zones: Each part of the same colour has one cat only.
Cats should not be next to each other in any way (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally). This is called the "safe distance."

Controls

The tools on Catdoku are simple to use, so all you have to do is think of answers:
You can block a cell from getting a cat by clicking once to make a "X" in it.
You can put a cat right into the cell you think is right if you double-click.

Tips and Help

These tips will help you get through hard levels without running out of fish:
Take advantage of the "X" mark: don't kill cats right away. Make a "X" in every row, column, and colour zone once you know where the cat is. Pay close attention to little bits of colour. The process of removal should begin in spots that only cover one or two cells.
Don't guess; you'll die if you put the cat in the wrong place. Instead of putting things together at chance, use logic.

Details

Puzzle game fans will love a few great things about Catdoku:
One-of-a-kind mix of game mechanics: the game cleverly combines the spatial thought of Sudoku with the elimination methods of Minesweeper.
Visuals that calm you down: a simple layout, colours that are easy on the eyes, and cats that move slowly all work together to make a nice, calm space.
Progressive difficulty means that the game gets harder as you go through the levels. There are also built-in hints to help you out if you get stuck.

Cool puzzle game Catdoku is just hard enough to make you think, but not too hard that you can't play it after work. Get started right away on making your first "X"s and finding homes for all the cats!
