Nerdle

Nerdle is a math-based guessing game inspired by Wordle, where you have to figure out the numbers of a math equation based on rules and hints in six tries.

This game tests not only your arithmetic skills but also your ability to manage multiple variables and logical constraints simultaneously, making it a unique twist on traditional word games.

Gameplay Overview

Nerdle

The core objective of Nerdle is to reveal a secret equation, which consists of an 8-character structure. Each equation must include digits (0-9), at least one operator (+, -, *, /), and an equals sign (=). A valid equation must be mathematically accurate; for example, submitting $5 + 5 = 11$ would be invalid. Players must also adhere to the Order of Operations (BODMAS/PEMDAS), where multiplication and division take precedence over addition and subtraction.

How to Play Nerdle

Players have 6 attempts to solve the puzzle before the game ends. The game provides valuable feedback through a color-coded system:

  • Green: The number or symbol is in the exact right spot.
  • Magenta/ Yellow: The number or symbol exists in the equation, but is in the wrong position.
  • Black/Gray: The number or symbol does not appear in the equation at all.

Game Features

Statistical Rankings: Track your wins, streaks, and points to compete against friends.

Keyboard Support: For desktop players, this feature allows for faster input, making it easier to play.

Equals Sign Constraint: The position of the equals sign is crucial, as it indicates the length of the result in the equation.
