How to Play GeoGuessr Game

Observe the map image

At the heart of GeoGuessr Unlimited is Google Street View, which provides all the visual data you need. The guessing game randomly selects a location captured by Google, allowing you to explore a 360-degree environment. You can navigate along streets, looking for hints that will help you determine your location.

Analyze clues

Your task is to analyze various visual clues to make accurate guesses:

Infrastructure: Pay attention to road signs, vehicle license plates, and architectural styles.

Nature: Observe the types of plants and the landscape, whether it’s mountainous, flat, or desert-like.

Culture: Look at the language on signs and the clothing of locals to gather additional context.

Use the Guessing Map

Once you gather clues, use the Guessing Map to place your guess. This interactive world map allows you to zoom in and out to position your Guess Marker accurately. The scoring system calculates the distance between your guess and the actual location, rewarding you with higher points for closer guesses.

Enter your answer:

1. Use the mouse to rotate and click on the map to observe your surroundings and place your guess.

2. Move forward or backward along the streets in Street View.

3. Click to confirm your guess and check how close you were.
